We combine uniform local binary pattern and Adaboost for face recognition. We achieve acceptable recognition rate and computation time for door access control system. A door control system uses several pieces of simple hardware so that everyone can build the system easily. By using horizontal Sobel operator, a simple eyeglasses detection method is also proposed to judge if tested person wears eyeglass or not.
