2012-01-012024-05-14https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/658570摘要:本校在教育部第一期“邁向頂尖大學”經費挹注下,秉持「均衡發展、重點突破」 之執行理念,從建構優質學習與研究校園為本,透過短程研究論文質量倍增之策略 ,追求中程10至15個領域進入世界一流,進而進入全球大學百大之列,並配合國家 未來發展所需之六大新興產業,發展相關關鍵技術。其中,生技產業倍受全球矚目 ,亦已成為我國六大新興產業之一。而動物實驗是生技研發中極為重要的一環,不 論癌症研究、藥物測試、疫苗生產、醫材開發、幹細胞應用等,是許多醫藥產品或 服務能夠商品化、產業化前必經的一條道路。利用高潔淨等級或具特殊表現性狀的 基因改造動物來進行先進的生醫研究,亦已成為現代科學與產業發展的必然趨勢。 本校對教育部第二期“邁向頂尖大學”經費應用,規劃出校級十大頂尖研究中心 ,加以重點支持,包括: (1)人文社會高等研究院; (2)資訊電子科技整合研究中 心; (3)基因體醫學研究中心; (4)系統生物學研究中心; (5)神經生物與認知科 學研究中心; (6)氣候變遷與永續發展研究中心; (7)理論科學研究中心; (8)分 子生醫影像研究中心; (9)新興物質與前瞻元件科技研究中心; (10)健康科學與智 慧生活研究中心。此十大研究中心將肩負起本校吸引國內外傑出人才與延攬人才之 責,作為跨國合作之平台。本校從兩期“邁向頂尖大學”經費總計撥用3.4億元推動 全校性實驗動物中心基礎建設工程,以期未來支持生醫領域相關頂尖研究中心的研 究推展。新建實驗動物中心即將於2013年年初完成土木工程,幾項內部設備若能搭 配土木工進度進行採購安裝可讓設備與建築達到無瑕疵的銜接,但因為校內經費分 配困難,短期內無法及時安排大型滅菌爐採購。藉由本計畫補助採購之4台大型滅菌 爐,可以建立實驗動物中心三樓與四樓共約2,645平方公尺之潔淨屏蔽飼養空間,並 用來處理後續動物飼養之飼料、飲水、器械等相關物品之滅菌工作,使實驗動物中 心具備能夠開始啟用的基本條件,且預期未來至少將能夠飼養25,872隻潔淨小鼠與 1,728隻潔淨大鼠。如此,可為推動本校實驗動物中心的啟用與營運立下基礎,促進 本校在生技研究與學術發展的道路上能從優秀進步到卓越,並推動臺灣生技產業邁 向另一個里程碑。<br> Abstract: Under the first“Advance into Top University”funding support from the Ministry of Education, our university set a strategy of balanced deveoplemnt of all colleges, key point breakthrough to push10-15 research fields into world top ranking, and activately participate in national policy of developing “Big Six Emerging Industries”. As one of the “Big Six Emerging Industries”, Biotechnology industry covers cancer research, drug testing, vaccine production, biomedical material development and stem cell applications, etc. Animal experiments plays an extremely important role of biotechnology industry. Many pharmaceutical products and medical services must pass through the test of animal experiments before commercialization or industrialization. Therefore, use the high clean quality level animals or the genetically modified animals had become an inevitable trend of modern science and industrial development. Our university decided to utilize the second “Advance into Top University” funding to establish ten top research centers to attrack outstanding researchers and to set up international cooperation plateform. Among them, Genome Medical Research Center, Systematic Biology Research Center, Neurobiology and Recognition Science Research Center, Molecular Biomedical Imaging Research Center, Health Science and Intelligent Living Research Center are all realted to biomedical research and need a good quality laboratory animal center to back up all the animal experiments. Therefore, our university has spent 340 millions of dollars in the construction of centralized laboratory animal center. The building construction will be completed in early 2013, some facilities need to be purchased and put in places along with the final construction work. However, tight budget of our university in this year does not allow us to arrange the set up of four walk-in autoclaves in time. By the procurement of 4 walk-in autoclaves in this project, we can finally establish about 2,645 m2 clean barrier space on the third and fourth floor of LARC. On the other hand, the autoclaves also responsible for the sterilization of animal feeds, water, instruments and other related items. Thus, the LARC can finally start operation normally and feed at least 25,872 clean mice plus 1,728 clean rats in the future.
