2010-01-012024-05-15https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/662185摘要：動物科學技術學系為因應我國農業科技發展之策略，培育生物科技研發與技術人才，積極建構理想產業環境並與國際接軌，以順應國際積極發展生技產業潮流，確保本系在國內外相關研究領域之領先地位，發展應用生物技術於動物研究，積極參與國家型經濟動物功能性基因體研究，提昇基因轉殖及複製動物技術，研發機能性動物產品；本系可做為生物科技教學研究與生技產業之平台，同時成為動物生技的專業訓練與教育中心，厚植生物科技與畜牧產業實力。 本系以邁向頂尖系所為目標，與國內外研究機構及民間產業合作密切，積極發展整合型計畫以爭取經費，負責統籌國家型「經濟動物基因體計畫」等，並於細胞生理與分子生物研究、基因轉殖與複製動物、機能性加工產品等領域有多項突破技術及研究成果，堪稱是國內最具發展潛力之動物科學領域研究團隊。為因應國際化潮流趨勢，本系自2007年起，推薦大學部學生至美國普渡大學於暑假期間實習七週，提供本系大學部學生開拓國際視野的機會。惟受限於經費不足，更新速度緩慢，本系之建築、飼養設施及研究儀器已不敷使用，使本系現有人力及技術優勢難以發揮，甚至逐漸被國內外研究團隊趕上。故擬請爭取經費，全面提升基礎設備，強化研究與教學平台，購置各教學研究團隊共同所需儀器設備，建立共同儀器室。並配合實驗動物國際趨勢注重動物福祉為設想，修繕與整建既有之實驗動物舍以因應研究與教學之急迫需求。同時為推動國際化，將籌辦「機能性乳酸菌研討會」、補助大學部學生赴美國普渡大學進行實習並邀請相關領域內之國際知名學者前來演講、訪問。 本系（動物科學技術學系）於95-98年度獲 院補助邁向頂尖大學學術領域全面提升計畫經費，已部分改善了本系之動物舍及實習課程教學設備，發表於 SCI 期刊之論文亦因此而逐年增加。本年度將藉由該經費提升學術相關領域發展，改進系所評鑑相關缺點，訂定預期績效評估指標，以供內部自評與外部查核，並將經費進行結合應用與妥善分配，以符合突破系所未來相關發展，邁向頂尖。 <br> Abstract: In order to stay in the leading position in the relative research field and in response to the national strategy of agricultural development, which includes to nurture science and technology workforce in biotechnology and to establish industrial environment for the globally booming trend of biotechnology industry, the Department of Animal Science and Technology actively develops and applies bio-techniques in the research in animal science, participates in the National Research Program for Functional Genomics of Economical Animals, optimizes the techniques for the production of genetically modified animals and cloned animals and develops functional animal products. Our department can act as a platform for the development of biotech industry and as well as a teaching and research center for animal science and technology. Aiming to be amongst the bests, our department has been collaborated with research institutes internationally and industrial corporations developing integrated research programs and lead the “National Research Program for Functional Genomics of Farm Animals”. Owing to the multiple breakthroughs we had made in various fields such as cellular and molecular physiology, animal transgenesis and cloning and functional animal products, our department is believed to be the best research institute in animal science in the country. Starting from the year of 2007, selected undergraduate students from our department went to Purdue University for practical training in the teaching farm to broaden their scopes of professional training. Limited by the funding resources, the teaching, research and animal housing facilities in our department had been outdated and hence the teaching and research conducted by affiliated scientists and faculties are restricted. Through the funding from "Aim for Top Universities" program, our department plans to upgrade the research facilities, establish a core facility lab, and renew the animal housing facilities for the need of teaching and research and for better animal welfare. In addition, we plan to organize an international symposium on Lactic Acid Bacteria, continue the undergraduate program for practical training in Purdue University teaching farm and invite internationally prestigious scientists to visit us. Our department had been funded by "Aim for Top Universities" program since 2006, and various teaching and research facilities had been improved. As one of the direct consequences, the publications on SCI journals from our department had been increased year by year. This year, we plan to continue improving the research, teaching and animal housing facilities to ameliorate our weakness.
