We present a case of an axillary schwannoma causing QSS evaluated by both conventional ultrasound and sonoelastography. The application of sonoelastography is useful in elaborating the elastic feature of a soft tissue tumor, which provides additional information to conventional ultrasound regarding its growth pattern, and can help the differential diagnosis and guide the management. ? 2014 Elsevier Inc.[SDGs]SDG3Diagnosis; Axillary schwannoma; Differential diagnosis; Growth patterns; Quadrilateral space syndrome; Shoulder pain; Soft tissue tumor; Sonoelastography; Ultrasonics; acoustic radiation force impulse imaging; adult; article; axilla; axillary schwannoma; case report; causal attribution; differential diagnosis; disease association; echography; elastic tissue; elastography; female; human; image analysis; middle aged; neurilemoma; nuclear magnetic resonance imaging; priority journal; quadrilateral space syndrome; rotator cuff injury; shoulder pain; soft tissue; sonoelastography; tumor localization; tumor volume; ultrasound transducer; axilla; complication; echography; elastography; Nerve Compression Syndromes; neurilemoma; shoulder pain; Axilla; Diagnosis, Differential; Elasticity Imaging Techniques; Female; Humans; Middle Aged; Nerve Compression Syndromes; Neurilemmoma; Shoulder PainSonoelastography for the evaluation of an axillary schwannoma in a case of quadrilateral space syndromejournal article10.1016/j.clinimag.2013.12.019245597492-s2.0-84898686562
