The results showed the follows: (1) their approach is generalizable to many conditions and yet is limited in predicting the order involved conditions where color homogeneity among background stimuli was manipulated. Heterogeneous colors cannot be used to enhance discrimination performance but reduce effective display setsize in visual search. Consequently, the rank order of discrimination performance cannot be mapped unto the rank order of search performance – violating the prediction of the model. (2) at the same similarity level, perceptual grouping among background stimuli or emergent features combined from the target and nearby stimuli enhances performance at both low and high levels. (3) signal-noise ratio may be more important in determining performance than whether search is in the category of feature or conjunctive search.application/pdf34647 bytesapplication/pdfzh-TW國立臺灣大學心理學系暨研究所視覺搜尋低階區辨知覺組合visual searchdiscriminationperceptual grouping低階因素對視覺搜尋的影響(I)reporthttp://ntur.lib.ntu.edu.tw/bitstream/246246/9639/1/862413H002010.pdf
