The course, titled "Rural Development Action Research," will provide students with the opportunity to participate in agricultural development projects in the Nanao tribe. Through the teaching method of design thinking, it will encourage students to actively engage in solving the challenges faced by the tribe and interact with local tribal residents to gain their feedback and cooperation. The goal of this project is to increase urban university students` awareness and concern for rural agricultural development while deepening their understanding of tribal social responsibility, inspiring their potential to participate in indigenous agricultural development, and improving the quality of tribal life. This course will focus on the following aspects: 1) Cultivating students` sense of social responsibility: By actively participating in the agricultural development projects of the Nanao tribe, students will gain a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges of indigenous tribes and seek solutions to enhance local quality of life. 2) Developing innovative solutions: Through the design thinking approach, students will learn how to identify problems, propose innovative solutions, and implement these solutions to address specific challenges faced by the tribe. 3) Promoting cross-cultural understanding: Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with indigenous residents of the Nanao tribe, promoting understanding and respect between different cultures while learning how to cooperate in a cross-cultural environment. 4) Fostering tribal care: Through practical involvement in tribal projects, students will be able to develop a sense of concern and identification with rural agriculture and tribal life, which may translate into long-term opportunities for involvement and support.
