2007-01-012024-05-14https://scholars.lib.ntu.edu.tw/handle/123456789/655285摘要：本計畫主要從物質文化研究的角度出發，將物質中反映的流動與交換現象作為研究分析的焦點，延伸探討台灣南島民族跨越時空場域的人群互動、貿易物資、交換關係、以及不同文化脈絡中價值與意義的轉換等。雖然本計畫的研究對象是以台灣南島族群的物質文化為基礎，但是其交換和移動所涉及的地理區域卻不僅限於台灣；包括與東亞、東南亞、和東北亞貿易圈的交換互動關係，也在研究討論的範疇內。 本計畫預計以三年的時間，進行幾項對台灣南島民族具有重要意義的外來珍貴物資的「器物傳記」（object biography）研究。第一年將以「銅器」和「玻璃珠」做為為主要研究對象，希望透過理解這些價值象徵物的流動和交換關係，而對南島社會動態性質有更深刻的理解。第二年將以「貨幣」做為主要研究對象，探討貨幣在台灣南島社會的型式和使用脈絡管道，以及外來錢幣進入南島社會時扮演的不同角色，尤其是生活中非交易媒介性的價值，例如裝飾和宗教意義。第三年將以棉布和不同織線做為主要研究對象，由此探討布料對於南島民族的意義，以及外來布料和織線進入時影響變化的不同方向等。透過器物交換關係和文化意義的整合研究，可以重新檢視這些重要外來物資的流動脈絡和內在化過程，探討台灣南島社會與鄰近貿易圈的關係，17世紀以來殖民過程造成的影響，以及文化轉型和再建構的動力（Geertz 1983；Giddens 1984; Gell 1998; Herzfeld 2001）。 <br> Abstract: This project aims to study the material features, transactions and exchange relations reflected in the material cultures of Taiwanese Austronesians. Focusing on the exotic or internal produced prestigious goods popularly used among Taiwanese Austronesians, firstly we will investigate their divergent cultural forms and meanings as well as dynamic value production processes of these objects. Secondly, we will trace their distribution networks within East Asia and Southeast Asia trading routes. This project includes a three-year research plan. The first year plan will emphasis on studying bronze figures and ornaments, as well as well dispread glass-bead artifacts among different regions in Taiwan. The second-year plan will focus on investigating the monetary media and coins used among Austronesian groups in Taiwan.
