Methods: A 47-year-old man underwent TEP inguinal hernia repair. Results: Bladder rupture was noted after balloon dissection. The defect was sutured, and the hernia was repaired under laparoscopy. Cystoscopy showed the site of injury at anterior bladder neck. Conclusion: This is the first report of bladder rupture associated with balloon dissector in a patient with no prior abdominal surgery. ? 2012 Springer-Verlag France.Bladder rupture; Inguinal hernia; Laparoscopy; Total extraperitoneal[SDGs]SDG3cefalexin; cefmetazole; abdominal ultrasonography; adult; anterior bladder neck injury; article; balloon dissector; bladder; bladder disease; bladder rupture; bladder wall; case report; cystography; cystoscopy; digestive surgical equipment; echography; endotracheal tube; Foley balloon catheter; follow up; general anesthesia; herniorrhaphy; human; inguinal hernia; laparoscope; laparoscopy; male; postoperative complication; postoperative period; preoperative period; priority journal; pubic bone; total extraperitoneal laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair; treatment duration; trocar; umbilicus; Dissection; Hernia, Inguinal; Herniorrhaphy; Humans; Intraoperative Complications; Laparoscopy; Male; Middle Aged; Peritoneum; Rupture; Urinary BladderA rare complication from total extraperitoneal (TEP) laparoscopic inguinal hernia repair: Bladder rupture associated with a balloon dissectorjournal article10.1007/s10029-012-1014-22-s2.0-84890553467
