Common manifestations of individual lesions are erythema with desquamation, superficial erosions with or without crusts or flaccid bullae. Hyperpigmented and verrucous lesions clinically resembling seborrheic keratosis lesions are rarely seen in patients with pemphigus foliaceus. We present a patient with multiple seborrheic keratosis-like lesions on the trunk with characteristic pathologic findings, which is first reported in Taiwan. The histology showed hyperkeratosis, acanthosis, and papillomatosis accompanied with acantholysis in the superficial epidermis. The direct immunofluorescence revealed IgG and C3 deposition in the intercellular spaces of epidermis. The lesions responded slowly to oral prednisolone, azathioprine, dapsone and topical clobetasol propionate treatment. |
