The implementation considers the dynamic orientation changing of user terminals (UTs) to cause rapid radiation polarization variations. The BTS antenna array is thus equipped with a functionality of tunable polarization to comply with the UT antennas' polarization for minimizing polarization mismatch. Antenna architecture and its characteristics of radiation polarization are presented with HFSS full-wave simulations and experimental measurements on an antenna prototype shown to validate the concepts. ? 2021 Taiwan Microwave Association. |
