These plates consist of adhered visco-elastic material, and formed constrained layered damped (CLD) components. The damping force is considered in the quasi-static simulation. Comparison with experimental results indicates that the proposed method yields accurate results and produces significant saving in computing resources. © 2008 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. |
