History
The Center for Teacher Education was established in September 1995, under the Dean's Office of Academic Affairs of National Taiwan University (NTU). The purpose of the Center is to prepare and certify secondary school teachers. The Center enrolls 108 undergraduate (sophomore and above) and graduate students each year from all departments within the University.
Goals
Our goals are to prepare teachers with the following characteristics:
‧Profession: Solid foundation in content and pedagogical knowledge.
‧Diversity: Broad horizon in perspectives and respect for differences.
‧Innovation: Creativity in curriculum and instruction.
‧Care: Care for the students with active participation in society.
‧Leadership: Ability to lead in teaching and administration.
