Description
慢性腎臟病及接受透析的病人以老年人居多，其中一個影響因素是腎臟老化，腎臟老化與腎臟疾病之間存在密切的交互作用。過去研究已發現生理性甲基化造成腎臟老化，腎臟疾病造成的病理性甲基化可能使腎臟更加老化，然而目前對甲基化同時對腎臟老化及腎臟疾病進展的角色尚未清楚。 因此，我們將用人體血液細胞及動物實驗進行全面的甲基化分析，找出同時對腎臟老化及腎臟疾病惡化有影響的基因並驗證相關機轉，這些將成為未來腎臟老化研究的重要基礎，有助於凸顯台灣在腎臟老化研究的特殊成果。我們也計畫發展精準治療藥物，利用開發寡核苷酸藥物及專一細胞藥物輸送系統，能精準將藥物送進專一細胞並作用在標的因子上，減緩腎臟老化及相關腎臟疾病。
