「ある/いる」の「類義表現」としての「結果の状態のテイル」 -日本語母語話者と中国語を母語とする学習者の使用傾向を見て-

本稿は、「日本語教育文法では学習者の母語の感覚とズレが生じやすいところに焦点を置くべきである」という考えのもとに、日本語母語話者と中国語を母語とする日本語学習者の「結果の状態のテイル」と「ある/いる」の使用傾向の違いに注目し、どのような種類の「結果の状態のテイル」が「ある/いる」との使い分けで問題になるのかを提示する。 日本語母語話者105名と中国語を母語とする日本語学習者120名に対する質問紙調査を行ったところ、その結果は、3 つのグループに分けられた。すなわち、(1)日本語母語話者と中国語母語話者が両方とも「ある/いる」を使用する場面(例えば、「冷蔵庫を開けたら……」という場面では「ケーキがある」)、(2)両方とも「結果の状態のテイル」を使用する場面(例えば、先生の研究室から明かりが見えている場面では「(先生は)いらっしゃるみたいね。電気がついているから」)、(3)日本語母語話者が「結果の状態のテイル」を使用するのに対し、中国語母語話者は「ある/いる」を使用する場面(例えば、「お客さんが来ている」に対して「お客さんがいる」、「財布が落ちている」に対して「財布がある」)、の3つのグループである。 (3)のような日中母語話者間で使用傾向が異なった場面では「移動を表わす動詞の使用」と「中国語では隠現文の中の出現文でも表現できること」の2つの特徴が挙げられる。「出現文」は人や事物の出現を表わす。人や事物の「出現」の事象が結果的に「存在」になると捉えることができるため、中国語を母語とする日本語学習者は存在を表わす「ある/いる」を使用しがちであると考えられる。このことから、中国語を母語とする日本語学習者に教える際は、「移動」を表わす「結果の状態のテイル」が「ある/いる」の「類義表現」として取り扱われてもよいと考えられる。The purpose of this paper is to present the resultative state -te iru as a synonymous expression of aru/iru for Chinese learners of Japanese. The result of a survey conducted on native speakers of Japanese (JNS) and Chinese learners of Japanese (CNS) can be classified as follows: (1) Situations where both JNS and CNS tend to use aru/iru(i.e. both tend to use"keeki ga aru"when they find a cake upon opening the refrigerator.) (2) Situations where both JNS and CNS tend to use the resultative state -te iru (i.e. both tend to use"Sensei wa irassharu mitai ne. Denki ga tsuite iru kara"when they find the lights on in the professor's office.) (3) Situations where JNS tend to use the resultative state -te iru, but CNS tend to use aru/iru (i.e. JNS tend to use"saifu ga ochite iru"when they find a wallet lying on the road, while CNS tend to use"saifu ga aru."Moreover, JNS tend to use"okyakusan ga kite iru"when they find somebody else's shoes at their doorstep, while CNS tend to use"okyakusan ga iru".) The difference between JNS and CNS observed in (3) can be attributed to the usage of verbs that express movement; and also to the usage of the Chinese"chuxian phrase"which expresses appearance. It can be explained that CNS tend to use aru/iru which means existence since"appearance"could consequently be considered as"existence."Therefore, it can be suggested that the resultative state -te iru of verbs that express movement can be taught as a synonymous expression of aru/iru.
