Abstract
The X-ray structure of 1′, 1‴-dinaphthylmethylbiferrocenium BF4 has been determined. The 57Fe Mössbauer and EPR results of 1′, 1‴-dinaphthylmethylbiferrocenium BF4 and PF6 salts are also reported. The relatively minor perturbations caused by the counterions have pronounced effects on the rate of intramolecular electron transfer. © 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
