With mesophase-mediated molecular alignment, the bipolar carrier-transport capability of oligofluorene solid films is enhanced by more than an order of magnitude. High bipolar carrier mobilities, up to 2.0× 10-2 cm2 V s for holes and up to 2.3× 10-2 cm2 V s for electrons, are observed in the aligned glassy liquid-crystal films. © 2005 American Institute of Physics. |
