Abstract
The temperature dependence of the viscosity of a nonpolymeric liquid was determined by the activation energy for the mobility of normal liquid molecules. Based on a cell theory for the free volume dependency of the activation energy, an analytical relation between the viscosity of liquid and the free volume fraction was derived.
