Abstract
We present an error-prevention scheme for protecting three-qubit quantum information against decoherence. The scheme exhibits manifestation of the quantum Zeno effect. We show that a six-qubit error prevention code can be applied to protect three-qubit information against general errors and that a four-qubit encoding is sufficient for preventing three-qubit information from phase damping. © 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
