Abstract
Many explanations for the excess high-Q2 e+p → e+X events from H1 and ZEUS at HERA have been proposed, but each has attracted criticism. We propose a new method which distinguishes different models by looking at a new observable which is insensitive to parton distribution function, but sensitive to new physics. © 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
