Abstract
The present paper investigates problems of synthesizing a planar four-bar linkage to generate a coupler-line envelope, tangent to three, four and five given line positions, and at the same time to coordinate the coupler-line movements with two, three and four input-link positions. The loci of the centre-point and of the circle-point of the driving link in the four-position case are eight concurrent straight lines, and the loci in the five-position case are 64 points. © 1992.
