Abstract
Finite element analysis of contaminant transport in groundwater was performed using advective-dispersive equation. The transport phenomenon was modeled by considering the first-order degradation of the contaminant. The finite element model used for the analysis employed a quadratic basis function to approximate the contaminant concentration.
