Abstract
Conventionally joint axis corrections are achieved with the use of bare hands or bone distraction devices, both of which result in considerable time and effort. This article proposes the design of a new device for improved efficiency of these joint axis correction surgeries. The proposed device was analyzed by finite element methods to investigate its static structure, thus providing a reference for device fabrication. Results indicated that the displacement deformation of PEI (Ultem) was greater than that of aluminum, while both designs met necessary safety requirements.
