Abstract
Important implications for knowledge management in software engineering based on a system created for an integrated circuit assembly and testing firm are discussed. This system supports organization-wide knowledge creation, update, sharing, and reuse. This paper considers knowledge management (KM) as a systematic and organizational process for retaining, organizing, sharing and updating knowledge critical to individual performance and oranizational competitiveness.
