Abstract
This article reviews the research and reported clinical observations relevant to the assessment of unilateral neglect. The relationship between traditional assessment of neglect and functional performance outcome is discussed. Factors to consider in selecting a test or measure to assess neglect are reviewed. The relationship among theory, assessment, and treatment is emphasized.
