Abstract
Starting from the rigorous irreversible thermodynamics (continuum mechanics approach), we have systematically derived the field equations and the equations of flux motions, coupled with the deformation field, in type-II magnetoelastic superconductors on the macroscopic consideration. Macroscopic independent variables, which are different from other theories, are proposed in this paper to include Ginzburg-Landau equations as a special case. The dissipation processes from the vortex motion, electric current, heat flux and relaxation of the superelectron are explored. The transport properties of type-II superconductors in the vortex state, dominated by the motion of the magnetic flux line, are also discussed in detail.
