Abstract
This paper presents a dual-camera system for synthesizing images with continuous zoom factors. The system is equipped with two fixed-focal-length lens, one with a long focal length and the other with a short one. After taking images with narrow and wide fields of view, we use stereo warping for compensating the view differences between images and adapt the locally linear embedding algorithm for fusing information from both images. The system can synthesize images of continuous zoom factors with better quality than the ones with a single lens. It can be easily implemented on mobile phones for improving their zooming quality.
