Abstract
This study demonstrates the robustness of the frequency-detuning, impedance-mismatching and misalignment effects of the high-efficiency wireless power system with proximal metal plates by using the metamaterial-like printed spiral coils (PSCs) resonator. A good agreement among the equivalent-circuit model, simulation, and measurement of the proposed printed spiral metamaterial resonators in the 4-PSCs wireless powering system is observed. Results demonstrate that the power transmission of the 4-PSCs system is 9 dB higher than the conventional 2-PSCs system when the backside metal plates are added.
