Abstract
The synthesis and characteristic properties of ditetraaniline-capped copolymer with a narrow polydispersity index, were analyzed. This copolymer possessed excellent film-flexibility and comparable electrical conductivity to tetraaniline. The synthesis of tetraaniline-containing copolymer was carried out by condensation reaction of perpolymer with 3.0 equivalent of tetraaniline in an anhydrous solvent mixture. The periodicity of m/z 58 is consistent with the mass of the propylene-oxide repeating unit. It was observed that the copolymer exhibited excellent thin film-formation properties. The results show that after treating the thin-film with aqueous hydrochloride acid solution, the spectrum exhibited a polaron transition for emeraldine salt.
