Fig. 1. The patient underwent echo-guided pericardial pigtail insertion for drainage of massive pericardial effusion. The drainage function was good. The orthopnea and cough improved dramatically after drainage for 500 ml effusion. However, obvious resistance was noted during withdrawal of the pigtail. The PA view of CXR (A) showed a suspected fast knot developed in the pigtail, and the lateral view of CXR (B) also obviously showed a fasting knot (arrow).
