Eight trapezoid blocks are poured with main parts of model with various slope and connecting conditions. The experimental results indicate that, compared with ground station, lower predominant frequency (<6.0 Hz) appears in most direction of various blocks. For blocks connecting on steep slopes which have poor stability, their microtremor will have lower top three frequencies. The predominant frequencies of the microtremor measured from fully connected block is usually scattered and has several local peaks, but those measured from blocks with one third connected area tend to be concentrated, with a relative small predominant frequency. For blocks connecting with an overhanging slope, the typically scattered predominant frequencies of mircotremor tend to be more concentrated at some specific frequencies, and these frequencies move left to be lower than that of block connected with dip slope. © 2020 ISRM. |
