Abstract
26-Iodoponasterone A, prepared from inokosterone in four steps, is 160 times as the parent compounds in an ecdysone assay on Drosophila Kc cells, and is one of the most active ecdysones known; the 125I is being used for the detection of ecdysone receptors.
