The micro-pillars are made of PDMS and Gum-Arabic, a synthetic biopolymer with complex and branched structures, to confer adhesive property, despite in wet condition. Further, Kanamycin A - an antibiotic for treating severe bacterial infections - is employed in our adhesives. The adhesive with hybrid biopolymer and micro-pillar shows higher adhesion forces, compared to the samples made of PDMS-only or flat surfaces.
