dc.description.abstract | The end-To-end security protocols are crucial for maintaining confidential and sensitive data transmission for Internet of Things (IoT) applications, such as smart home, in which the IoT devices have to withstand security attacks in an untrusted network. However, security protocols with complicated cryptographic operations introduce additional computations and degrade the battery lifetime for energy-constrained IoT devices. Therefore, energy-efficient hardware accelerators for end-To-end communication security protocols are necessary. Datagram transport layer security (DTLS) has been proposed to establish a shared key over untrusted channels [1].
