Abstract
Multibeam (MB) radiations of antenna arrays need effective beamforming networks (BFNs). This paper presents a fisheye lens-based BFN (FL-BFN) by parallel-plate sandwiched substrates. It implements the beam and antenna excitation ports on the half-circular circumference and straight-line boundaries. The rule to determine the positions of antenna elements is shown for easy design. The performance is validated by using it to excite a Vivaldi antenna array. Measurements over a prototype were performed to validate its feasibility with good agreements. ? 2021 IEEE.
