標題: | Metal contamination of flooded soils, rice plants, and surface waters in Asia | 作者: | ZUENG-SANG CHEN | 公開日期: | 2017 | 起(迄)頁: | 85-108 | 來源出版物: | Biogeochemistry of Trace Metals: Advances In Trace Substances Research | 摘要: | This chapter summarizes the causes of the soil pollution in Asian countries, which is mainly due to the metals discharged from various mine and chemical plants into the irrigation system or rivers used for flooded agricultural soils in the developed and developing countries, particularly Japan and the Republic of China. Metals concentration data of natural (unpolluted) and polluted flooded soils, surface waters, and rice plants collected from Asian countries, particularly from Japan, Mainland China, and Taiwan, were used to study the microdistribution of metals in different rice plant parts, uptake and transport in the rice plants, and study the relationship between metals concentration in the rice grains, roots, leaf and paddy soils in different countries. Finally, present criteria were summarized for allowable concentrations of Cd and Hg in the rice grain, and the critical concentration of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Hg, Ni, Pb, and Zn allowed for paddy soils in Japan and the Republic of China. © 1992 by Taylor & Francis.
