Abstract
Self-powered sensing systems, which work without external power sources, have recently been demonstrated to detect different targets. In this study, we not only used triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) to replace the traditional power source but also to synthesize different metal nanoparticles on carbon fiber by the way of electrochemistry. In addition, we integrated the as-prepared carbon fiber fabrics with TENG as a self-powered sensing system. The system showed good selectivity and sensitivity toward detection of lactate. In our research, the self-powered sensing system was successfully demonstrated to detect the concentration of lactate in perspiration. In the near future, people can use it to monitor their physical function and health immediately. We also believe that it will be a promising system applied in diverse sport, military, and biomedical applications.
