Abstract
This paper utilizes the feedforward voltage control (FVC) for the power conditioner, aimed to minimize the output capacitance and harmonic input currents of the ACDC voltage conversion. Therefore, the size and cost of the capacitance can be decreased, and the current stress on the devices can also be reduced. Moreover, the power conditioner improves the power factor (PF) and total harmonic distortion (THD) for the AC-DC voltage conversion. In this paper, the concept of FVC is introduced, and the derived equations, design procedures, and power conditioner features will be analyzed. Finally, computer simulations are presented to verify the effectiveness and performance of the application. © 2021 IEEE.
