This paper describes a broadband 129-157.5 GHz low-noise amplifier for radio astronomy applications in TSMC 28nm CMOS technology. In order to enhance the maximum stable gain in D-band, the gain-boosting technique is adopted at the third, fourth, and fifth stage, enabling high gain performance over a wideband. According to the measurement results, the proposed work demonstrates competitive performances with 16.3-dB peak gain and 9.6-12.1-dB noise figure across the 3-dB bandwidth from 129 to 157.5 GHz.
