標題: | The impact of urban development patterns on thermal distribution in Taipei | 作者: | WAN-YU SHIH | 關鍵字: | Land surface temperature | LANDSAT 8 | Local climate zones | Urban development patterns | Urban heat island effect | 公開日期: | 10-五月-2017 | 來源出版物: | 2017 Joint Urban Remote Sensing Event, JURSE 2017 | 摘要: | This study examines how urban development patterns might influence thermal distribution across the urbanized areas of Taipei Basin. By means of LANDSAT 8 data and the mapping scheme of local climate zones, the development characteristics were classified into climatological related features and was correlated to corresponding land surface temperature in spring, summer and autumn. The result showed that both water and vegetation possess cooling effect, but the former was stronger. In summer, their cooling magnitude was more significant than in autumn. Besides, the hottest areas were associated with the development features of lightweight low-rise areas, followed by heavy industry and/or compact mid-rise areas. This study found that temperature tended to increase with building density particularly in summer, but the density effect might be offset when the building high is above ten floors. Both compact high-rise and open high-rise development patterns provided relatively mild thermal environments in summer. |
