本計畫針對念珠菌血症菌株,透過體外抗黴菌藥敏測試和壓力反應調控基因表現量檢測結果,正確區分抗黴菌藥物抗藥性(resistance)和耐受性(tolerance)差異;更一步結合臨床資料與各式念珠菌相關生物標記的序列結果,探討念珠菌抗黴菌藥物耐受性的臨床意義。此成果不僅能提供醫院檢驗科部體外抗黴菌藥敏測試正確判讀模式,更能搭配抗微生物製劑管理輔助臨床醫師選擇合宜抗黴菌藥物治療病人。唯探索念珠菌血症治療失敗原因所得到的新見解,可轉化為符合精準醫學的預後標記。最後,藉由體外和體內評估模式,探索耐受性念珠菌感染的有效治療,亦能為日後抗念珠菌新藥開發奠定強大的研究量能,造福深受感染之苦的病友。
