To the Editor:
Within the field of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) research, a specific patient cohort has long been overlooked: individuals experiencing emergency medical services (EMS)-attended, non-transported out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (NT-OHCA). This term refers to cases in which EMS personnel arrive on scene, perform an initial assessment, and ultimately refrain from transporting the patient to the hospital. These patients never enter the broader healthcare system, and as a result, epidemiological data are often unavailable. They remain an underrepresented and neglected population in cardiac arrest research.
