Abstract
The development of white perovskite quantum dots single emitters (WPQDs) with multiple emission centres has recently made significant progresses. Approaches consisted in the incorporation of emissive dopants and defects in perovskite lattice. However, the fabrication of WPQDs remains challenging because of doping thermodynamic barrier, defects or ligand-induced perovskite quantum dot (PQDs) lattice transformation. Among them, fully inorganic CsPb(Cl/Br)3 PQDs has shown potential for the development of WPQDs. Herein, we point out the importance of manganese (Mn) doping in CsPb(Cl/Br)3 in synergy with an ultra-rapid and straightforward ligand exchange approach to favourably calibrate Mn-doped CsPb(Cl/Br)3 (Mn-PQDs) excitonic and Mn2+ emission for white light emission profile. However, alkylammonium ligands are known to interact strongly with perovskite surface and influence perovskite lattice dimensionality through synergistic interactions, thus, tuning perovskite charge carriers localization and exciton-phonon interactions. Furthermore, we have observed that the modification of perovskite lattice through environmental degradation significantly shaped exciton-phonon interactions and directly influenced both energy transfer from perovskite excited state to Mn2+ and Mn2+ emission. Then, we have fabricated a White Light-Emitting Diodes devices using WPQDs encapsulated by glass and sealed by epoxy in inert atmosphere. This study opens the path of the fabrication of multifunction WPQDs through a simple syntheses approach.
