Abstract
This paper presents a bi-characteristic-impedance transmission line (BCITL) model for wireless power transmission (WPT), aimed at analyzing the level detection of materials under test (MUTs) using ultra-high frequency radio frequency identification (UHF-RFID) technology. It is operated at the frequency range of 920-925 MHz. The simulated results demonstrate that the BCITL model provides accurate power transmission efficiency (PTE) compared to that of the conventional PTE and RFID-based power transmission methods. In addition, an experimental test was conducted to validate the simulation results of the BCITL model. It is found that the simulated and measured results are in good agreement.
