Ultraviolet-ozone treatment was used to induce a thin layer of silver oxide at the silver surface as confirmed by X ray photoelectron spectroscopy. In comparison with the as-deposited silver, the surface modified silver showed largely enhanced hole injection and reduce operation voltage in devices, yet retaining relatively high reflectivity. The results indicated that the effectiveness of the treated silver as an anode was competitive with that of a conventional indium tin oxide anode. |
