The model is validated by measurements using chirped femtosecond laser pulses on fused silica. Based on this model, an extension to the two-beam coupling method is proposed which not only measures the nonlinear intensity index of refraction and the two-photon absorption coefficient by use of chirped laser pulses, but monitors the chirp as well. |
